DESCRIPTION

The RG1783-1 is a single-phase RC network designed to prevent or substantially minimize arcing and noise generation in relay and switch contacts. It features a capacitance of 0.25 µF with a ±20% tolerance and a series resistance of 22 Ohms with a ±10% tolerance. This network operates at 600 VDC / 250 VAC and can handle a peak pulse voltage of 900V across a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Its primary application is to absorb and suppress electrical surges produced by relays and solenoids, thereby protecting contacts and improving circuit reliability.
