DESCRIPTION

The NCP5501DT50RKG is a linear low drop voltage regulator designed to provide a fixed 5.0 V output. It delivers an output current of up to 500 mA with a typical low dropout voltage of 230 mV at full load. This device, housed in a DPAK 3 package, features an output voltage accuracy of 2.9% and does not include an enable function. Integrated protection features such as short circuit current limiting and thermal shutdown ensure robust operation in a variety of applications, including post SMPS regulation, point-of-use regulation, and general consumer electronics.
