DESCRIPTION

The 84520-102 is a micro-connector plug assembly designed for high-density board-level interconnection applications. It features a 10×40 contact array (400 total positions) with 0.762 mm solder balls for direct PCB attachment, and includes a protective pick-up cap for handling and storage. The plug base is constructed from LCP housing with copper alloy contacts, and the contacts are plated with 30 µm (0.76 µm) gold over nickel for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The assembly has a plug base dimension of 55.00±0.20 mm length and 17.34±0.20 mm width, with a reference mated height that varies depending on the mating receptacle assembly (10.0 mm, 12.0 mm, or 14.0 mm options). This connector is widely used in telecommunications, data center, and high-reliability applications where compact form factor and robust solder-ball interconnection are essential.
