DESCRIPTION

980-2000-349 is a die cast zinc metal backshell designed for 50-position D-subminiature connectors, providing EMI/RFI shielding with a straight cable exit configuration. This backshell features an attenuation of -50 dB at 1000 MHz and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. The shell size is DD with dimensions A: 66.70 mm (2.626"), B: 45.72 mm (1.800"), C: 21.95 mm (0.864"), D: 18.54 mm (0.730"), E diameter: 18.44 mm (0.726"), and F: 61.11 mm (2.406"). The kit includes a front shell, rear shell, screws, hex nuts, mounting screws, end brackets, and PVC compression inserts that accommodate cable diameters from 7.62 mm to 17.27 mm (0.300" to 0.680"). This backshell improves conformance to FCC DOC #20780 shielding requirements and is ideal for applications requiring robust EMI protection in a rugged package.
