DESCRIPTION

EQ-34-PN is an adjustable range reflective photoelectric sensor with PNP open-collector transistor output and built-in amplifier, designed for distance-adjustable sensing applications. The sensor features a compact housing measuring 20 × 68 × 40 mm with a mechanical 2-turn distance adjuster and indicator, providing an adjustable sensing range of 0.2 to 2 m. It incorporates a 2-segment photodiode as the receiving element with unique circuitry that detects objects at consistent distances regardless of color or background, with hysteresis of 10% or less and repeatability of 10 mm or less along the sensing axis. The sensor operates on 10 to 30 V DC supply with a maximum output current of 100 mA, and is available in both standard cable type and plug-in connector type (M12 IEC conforming) for easy replacement. Common applications include industrial automation, object detection on assembly lines, and packaging systems where reliable, color-independent sensing is required.
