DESCRIPTION

The 1055451-1 is a locator tool designed for assembly of SMA right-angle cable plugs onto semi-rigid coaxial cable. This tool is used to secure the threaded end of the housing subassembly in a bench vise during the soldering process, ensuring proper alignment and positioning of the connector components. The tool facilitates the assembly of SMA plugs onto .141 or .085 semi-rigid coaxial cable, as well as .141 semi-rigid microporous cable, by maintaining precise positioning of the center conductor and dielectric during soldering operations. The locator tool is essential for achieving consistent, reliable solder joints and proper connector installation in RF and microwave applications where precise cable-to-connector alignment is critical.
