DESCRIPTION

120953-5 is a high-current power connector module designed for Z-PACK/HSS backplane connector systems. It features an 8-position contact arrangement with a 24.50 mm (0.965 inch) pitch and is rated for 15 A per contact, providing robust power distribution in high-speed backplane applications. The connector utilizes press-fit termination technology with plated through-hole PCB mounting, incorporating copper thickness of 0.025 to 0.050 mm and tin-lead plating of 0.004 to 0.010 mm for reliable electrical connection and corrosion resistance. The finished hole diameter is 0.60 ± 0.05 mm, with a drilled hole of 0.7 ± 0.025 mm, ensuring precise mechanical alignment and secure contact retention. This module is commonly used in telecommunications, data center, and industrial backplane systems where high current capacity and reliable signal integrity are essential.
