DESCRIPTION

1445420-1 is a dust cap accessory for Shell Size 8 AMP circular plastic connectors used in commercial signal and power applications. The cap is manufactured from thermoplastic material that is heat stabilized, fire resistant, and self-extinguishing with a 94V-1 rating, finished in black. It features a sealing gasket made of neoprene (black) and includes a steel bead chain with nickel plating and a brass bead chain coupling (nickel plated). The cap dimensions are 0.60 inches (15.3 mm) in diameter (A) and 0.26 inches (6.6 mm) in height (B). This dust cap is used to protect exposed contacts of unmated receptacles in connector systems, providing environmental sealing and contact protection during storage or when connectors are not in use.
