DESCRIPTION

1-480439-0 is a 16-circuit dual-row socket housing (plug) connector designed for wire-to-board power applications in the 5.0 mm Power Key Connectors (5.0 PKC) family. The connector features a compact design with a 19.4 mm mated height and incorporates a positive lock mechanism with double lock plates to ensure complete loading of contacts. The housing is constructed from UL94V-2 nylon in natural color and utilizes pre-tin duplex finish plating with 0.000030 inch minimum gold in the mating area and matte tin on the solder tail end over 0.000050 inch minimum nickel underplate. The connector is designed to release bubbles created during potting processes and includes protective walls surrounding the locking levers to prevent tangling with wires. This connector is commonly used in power circuits of home appliances, particularly gas appliances, where reliable electrical connections and compact form factors are essential.
