DESCRIPTION

1-499252-2 is an Ultra ATA Bus ribbon cable connector designed for high-density interconnect applications. It features 40 signal contacts and 40 ground terminations to a special IDC bus bar, with a 0.025 inch (0.64 mm) centerline ribbon cable pitch. The connector housing and cover are constructed from thermoplastic material rated UL 94 V-0, with phosphor bronze contacts plated in gold on the mating end and tin in the wire termination area over nickel underplate. The connector dimensions are 1.950 inches (49.53 mm) in length, 2.180 inches (55.37 mm) in width, and 1.900 inches (48.26 mm) in height. This connector is ideal for data storage systems, server applications, and other high-speed digital interconnect scenarios requiring reliable signal and ground distribution.
