DESCRIPTION

1-543382-1 is a brown-coded extraction tip designed for use with the TE Connectivity Insertion/Extraction Tool 91285-1 to extract HD-20 connector contacts. This tip is specifically engineered for wire sizes 28-24 AWG and features a wire slot that accommodates the contact wire barrel during extraction procedures. The tip includes a plug inserted into its widest end to prevent damage, and is secured in the tool handle using a setscrew tightened with a 0.050 inch hex wrench. This extraction tip is essential for maintenance and rework of AMPLIMITE High Density connectors, enabling technicians to safely remove wire-crimped contacts without damaging the connector cavity or contact.
