DESCRIPTION

1586765-2 is a 2-position VAL-U-LOK Glow Wire compatible receptacle connector housing designed for household appliances requiring compliance with IEC/EN 60335-1 4th Edition safety standards. The connector features a rated voltage of 600 VAC with a maximum current of 9 amps in 2-position applications, and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 VAC minimum. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and maintains an insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum. The housing is constructed from Glow Wire compatible material with brass or phosphor bronze contacts featuring tin plating (lead-free) or gold plating, and demonstrates a contact retention force of 4.88 lb (21.71 N) minimum with a durability rating of 30 mating and unmating cycles. This connector is ideal for applications in air conditioning units, dishwashers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, and washing machines sold into the European market.
