DESCRIPTION

1-640442-0 is an MTA-100 IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) connector housing designed for closed-end or feed-thru configurations in printed circuit board applications. This connector is part of the MTA series and supports multiple circuit positions ranging from 2 to 28 positions, with wire sizes accommodating 0.2–0.4 mm² (22 AWG) conductors. The housing is constructed from standard UL94V-2 material with tin plating for reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The connector features a modular design with optional polarizing tabs and locking mechanisms to ensure secure mating and prevent accidental disconnection.
