DESCRIPTION

1658537-2 is an HDP-20 crimp snap-in contact connector designed for D-subminiature cable assemblies. This connector features a shell size 5 configuration with 50 contact positions, tin-plated steel shell, and 94V-0 rated thermoplastic insert material. The connector dimensions are specified as Dim. D: 2.120 inches and Dim. E: 1.876 inches, with a recommended cable outer diameter range of 0.338–0.480 inches and a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.450 inches. The connector uses standard clinch nut mounting and accepts size 20 DF pin contacts for plugs and size 20 DF socket contacts for receptacles. This connector is ideal for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, RAID storage arrays, and telecommunications applications requiring reliable, cost-effective D-subminiature connectivity with shielding capability.
