DESCRIPTION

1658650-1 is an HDP-20 basic shielding hardware kit plug assembly designed for shell size 4 (37-contact position) D-subminiature connectors. This kit provides electromagnetic shielding and cable management for industrial and commercial applications requiring robust connector protection. The assembly features a steel tin-plated shield with a recommended cable outer diameter range of 0.338 to 0.562 inches and accommodates a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.450 inches after jacket and braid removal. The connector shell is steel with tin plating, and the insert is 94V-0 rated thermoplastic in black, mounted using a standard clinch nut. This shielding kit is ideal for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, RAID storage arrays, and on-machine industrial communications where EMI protection and reliable cable termination are essential.
