DESCRIPTION

173631-2 is a selective gold-plated brass receptacle contact designed for .040 MULTILOCK wire-to-board connector systems used in automotive applications. This contact is engineered to accommodate wire sizes ranging from 0.50 to 1.25 mm² (AWG 20–16) with wire insulation diameters of 2.0–2.6 mm, and is available in both strip form and loose-piece configurations. The contact features brass material construction with selective gold plating finish, providing excellent corrosion resistance and reliable electrical performance. The receptacle contact design includes a protected contacting point and is compatible with the MULTILOCK system's double-lock mechanism, ensuring secure and complete contact insertion.
