DESCRIPTION

174983-7 is a yellow polyester double lock plate designed for use with 8-position Econoseal J Series Mark II+ sealed connector housings that utilize tab contacts. This lock plate is manufactured from 0.32 mm [.013 inch] thick material and is engineered to work with tab contacts measuring 18 mm [.071 inch] wide by 0.64 mm [.025 inch] thick, with an uncrimped contact length of 20.4 mm [.803 inch]. The lock plate accommodates wire ranges from 0.20 to 1.25 mm² [24 to 16 AWG] with wire insulation diameters of 1.4 to 2.6 mm [.055 to .102 inch], supporting both brass pre-tin and phosphor bronze contact materials with optional select gold plating. Double lock plates are sold separately, with one plate required for each connector housing, making this component essential for securing and sealing multi-position connector assemblies in demanding automotive and industrial applications.
