DESCRIPTION

The 1971862-1 is a female cable coupler designed for solar photovoltaic (PV) connectivity systems as part of TE's SOLARLOK product line. It features a withstanding voltage of 1000 V DC, a current rating of up to 35 A for 4.0 mm² wire and up to 40 A for 6.0 mm² wire, with a contact resistance of 0.25 mO typical. The coupler operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +115°C and provides IP 68 protection when mated, with a diameter of 18.7 mm. It is compatible with wire sizes of 4.0 mm² (12 AWG) and 6.0 mm² (10 AWG), and is approved to UL and TÜV standards. This connector is widely used in solar panel interconnection systems and building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications where reliable, weatherproof electrical connections are essential.
