DESCRIPTION

The 206036-5 is a free-hanging receptacle assembly for AMP Circular Plastic Connectors (CPC), designed for commercial signal and power applications. This 17-16 arrangement receptacle features 16 positions and is preloaded with special solder cup pin contacts, accommodating a maximum wire insulation diameter of 0.220 inches (5.59 mm). The connector housing is constructed from UL 94V-0 rated, heat-resistant thermoplastic material with a phenolic wafer, both colored black, and includes a peripheral seal for enhanced environmental protection. Operating across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, the connector provides polarized mating with thread-assist coupling and positive detent engagement. The receptacle is commonly used in panel feed-thru (sealed) applications and offers quick connect/disconnect capability with built-in pin and socket protection, making it suitable for demanding commercial and industrial environments requiring reliable signal and power distribution.
