The 207216-8 is a 28-position circular plastic receptacle connector designed for industrial applications requiring reliable signal transmission. It features 28 signal positions with preloaded socket contacts, a keyed mating polarization type, and reverse gender configuration to ensure proper alignment and secure connections. The connector utilizes a thermoplastic housing with glass-filled material (UL 94V-0 flammability rating) and gold-plated mating contacts (30 µm) for superior corrosion resistance and electrical performance. Termination is accomplished via solder with tin-lead over nickel plating on the through-hole posts (15.98 mm length), and the connector supports wave solder processes at temperatures up to 265°C.
