DESCRIPTION

2-111446-3 is a 40-position ribbon cable connector receptacle manufactured by TE Connectivity for interconnect applications. This connector features a 0.050" (1.27 mm) cable pitch and is designed to mate with 0.050" x 0.100" 2-row pin header grids, making it compatible with standard ribbon cable assemblies. The housing is constructed from black thermoplastic rated UL 94V-0, with copper alloy contacts plated with 0.000030" (0.00076 mm) gold in the mating area and 0.000150" (0.00381 mm) tin on solder posts, with entire contacts underplated 0.000050" (0.00127 mm) nickel for enhanced durability and conductivity. The connector has a length dimension A of 2.492" (63.30 mm) and dimension B of 2.572" (65.33 mm), providing a compact form factor. This product is RoHS compliant and is commonly used in data interconnect applications, including Ultra ATA bus systems and general-purpose ribbon cable assemblies where reliable signal transmission and mechanical stability are required.
