DESCRIPTION

The 2170790-3 is a 1x4 QSFP28/56 and zQSFP+ cage interconnect designed for through-bezel mounting applications with EMI spring-based suppression and integrated heatsinks. This connector supports data transfer rates of 28 Gbps NRZ and 56 Gbps PAM-4, enabling high-performance networking and storage applications. The cage features superior signal integrity and electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection through advanced spring-based EMI sealing, with integrated heatsinks providing enhanced thermal management for sustained high-speed operation. The design maintains backwards compatibility with QSFP+ cables and transceivers, offering a scalable upgrade path for systems requiring increased bandwidth. Common applications include network switches, servers, routers, and high-density interconnect systems supporting 50, 100, and 200 Gigabit Ethernet, as well as 100 Gbps InfiniBand Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and 128G Fibre Channel protocols.
