DESCRIPTION

The 2-5229912-1 is a 50-position B-slot plug kit assembly designed for high-reliability cable interconnection in industrial and electronic applications. The kit features a polyphenylene oxide housing and cover with a polyethylene dust cover, and includes 50 high-strength copper alloy terminals plated with 0.76 µm minimum gold or gold flash over palladium nickel plate with 1.27 µm minimum nickel underplate. The assembly accommodates 24 and 26 AWG solid and 24/7 strand copper conductors with a maximum insulation diameter of 1.14 mm, and includes a cable clamp with captive pan head screw (4–40 × 6.35 mm long) and mounting hardware (4–40 UNC-2B, 2 holes). This poly-bagged configuration without dust cover is suitable for applications requiring robust, corrosion-resistant connectors in demanding environments where reliable signal and power transmission is essential.
