DESCRIPTION

The 2-87456-4 is a Mod IV wire-applied receptacle housing assembly designed for single-row, end-stackable interconnection applications. It features a 0.100 x 0.100 inch [2.54 x 2.54 mm] centerline spacing with low-profile outrigger design and 0.200 inch [5.08 mm] tine spacing for dual entry capability. The housing is constructed from glass-filled thermoplastic (94V-0 rated) with multiple plating options including duplex gold and matte tin finishes on contact and solder areas. The receptacle accommodates 32-20 AWG [0.03-0.6 mm²] discrete wire terminations with dual cantilever contact beams featuring built-in anti-overstress protection for reliable matings. This assembly is commonly used in wire-to-board applications requiring compact, stackable interconnections with high reliability and RoHS compliance.
