DESCRIPTION

The 3-1761713-3 is a low-profile IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) header assembly designed for wire-to-board ribbon cable connections with 40 positions arranged in 2 rows. It features a 2.54 mm centerline pitch, vertical PCB mounting orientation, and a short ejection latch mechanism for secure mating with AMP-Latch receptacles. The connector body is constructed from blue PBT material with a 4-sided housing design, shrouded entry style, and includes ejection latches for reliable connection retention. Contact materials include phosphor bronze pins with tin over nickel plating on the solder tail and gold flash over palladium nickel plating on the mating area, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The through-hole termination posts measure 4.11 mm in length, and the overall header height is 10.26 mm with a length of 58.42 mm. This connector is ideal for applications requiring compact, reliable ribbon cable interconnections in consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and data communication systems where space constraints and ease of assembly are important considerations.
