DESCRIPTION

350638-4 is a socket contact component for the 5.0 mm Power Key Connectors (5.0 PKC) wire-to-board connector system manufactured by TE Connectivity/AMP. This socket contact is specifically designed for use with stacked wire configurations of (1) 18 AWG [1.2 mm²] and (2) 18 AWG [8 mm²] or (2) 0.115 inch maximum insulation diameter, with a stacked height of 2.92 inches. The contact features phosphor bronze material with pre-tin finish, providing reliable electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The 5.0 PKC system is engineered for power circuits in home appliances, particularly gas appliances, with a compact 19.4 mm mated height and 5.0 mm contact centerline spacing. The connector design includes protective features such as double lock plates for complete contact loading, locking levers surrounded by walls to prevent wire tangling, and bubble-release design for potted applications. This socket contact is recognized by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (File No. E28476) and certified by Canadian Standards Association (File No. LR7189), making it suitable for demanding industrial and residential applications requiring robust power connections.
