DESCRIPTION
3-644613-6 is a 6-position connector housing manufactured from glass-filled thermoplastic polyester (UL94V-O) with copper alloy posts. The housing features an interrupted backwall design at various locations between posts 3 and 4, as specified for position sizes 6 and above. The connector is designed for PCB mounting with a recommended mounting hole pattern for 1.57 mm (0.062 inch) thick boards, featuring mounting holes with a diameter of 1.70±0.05 mm. The posts are finished with bright tin-lead (93/7) plate, 0.00380~0.00880 mm thick over nickel underplate, and comply with AMP solderability specifications. Each post withstands a minimum axial force of 13.34 N (3 lbf) in either direction without dislodging, ensuring reliable mechanical retention. This connector is commonly used in applications requiring robust PCB interconnection with standardized spacing and polarization features.
