DESCRIPTION

499582-3 is an AMP-LATCH universal ejection pin header designed for ribbon cable interconnect applications. This 16-position header features a vertical PCB mount orientation with ACTION PIN compliant posts for secure board retention, and a standard profile with 4-sided shrouded housing. The connector utilizes phosphor bronze contacts with gold (30) plating on mating areas and tin-lead over nickel solder tail plating, with a post size of 0.64 x 0.76 mm and termination post length of 4.42 mm. The black nylon housing is UL 94V-0 rated and includes dual polarizing bar and center polarization features. This header is ideal for applications requiring reliable ribbon cable connections with preloaded contacts and is compatible with PCB thicknesses of 2.36-3.18 mm.
