DESCRIPTION

The 5050863-8 is a miniature spring socket assembly from the Mini-Spring Socket product line designed for discrete wire connections in board-to-board and wire-to-board applications. It features a socket length of 6.60 mm with a closed-bottom sleeve made of copper, rated for a maximum current of 5 A, and accommodates wire sizes from 0.081 to 0.326 mm² (22–28 AWG). The socket utilizes beryllium copper spring material with tin plating on both the sleeve and contact mating area, and employs a through-hole press-fit termination method to the PCB with solder termination to the wire. Operating across a temperature range of -65°C to +126°C and compliant with RoHS/ELV standards, this socket is suitable for signal and power transmission in production applications requiring reliable, miniaturized interconnections.
