DESCRIPTION

The 50865-5 is a Series 4 miniature spring socket with flat bottom configuration designed for automatic or hand insertion of .034–.041 inch round and .020–.031 inch square leads. It features a beryllium copper spring with gold plating and a copper contact sleeve with tin plating, providing reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The socket has a recommended hole size of .071–.003 inches and dimensions of A: .089 inch, B: .260 inch, C: .070 inch, and D: .045 inch (or in metric: A: 2.26 mm, B: 6.60 mm, C: 1.78 mm, D: 1.17 mm). This socket is commonly used in IC socket applications requiring miniature spring contact technology for reliable interconnection in automatic insertion or hand assembly processes.
