DESCRIPTION

The 5-1579007-0 is a crimping terminal manufactured by TE Connectivity for solderless wire assembly applications. This terminal is designed to accept stripped wire into a metal barrel that is compressed around the wire strands to form a homogeneous metal connection without solder, heat, or flux. The terminal must meet industry certification requirements including vibration testing (16 hours exposure to intense vibration with no electrical discontinuity, cracking, or physical damage), crimp tensile strength testing to ensure the wire does not pull out or separate from the crimp, and dielectric strength testing to verify insulation effectiveness. Proper crimping performance is achieved only when the terminal is used with matching crimping tools from the same manufacturer, ensuring lasting connection quality and reliability in industrial electrical assembly systems.
