DESCRIPTION
54483-4 is a 4-position in-line connector housing without mounting flanges, part of the AMP Power Lock Series I connector system. The housing is constructed from natural color nylon material and features dimensions of 1.248 inches (31.7 mm) for dimension A. This housing is designed to mate with suitably arranged clusters of single-circuit housings and accepts Series I contacts with wire ranges from 18-12 AWG (0.8-3 mm²). The AMP Power Lock connector system provides high current handling capability up to 31 or 53 amperes depending on application, with integral stainless steel locking springs for positive contact retention. Common applications include industrial and commercial high-current connections in free-hanging, surface mounted, and thru-panel mounted configurations.
