DESCRIPTION

The 556039-1 is a miniature ribbon IDC connector from the CHAMP Interconnection System designed for applications requiring reliable wire termination. This 50-position plug-style connector accommodates 22 AWG solid wire (0.64 mm) and 22 AWG 7-strand wire (0.40 mm²), with insulation diameters up to 0.056 inches (1.42 mm). The connector features F-slot contacts with a folded beam design that effectively handles large insulation diameter conductors, and operates on a 0.065 inch centerline spacing. The brown housing color dot designation aids in quick identification, and the connector is supplied without cover or cable. This connector is ideal for ribbon cable assemblies, data acquisition systems, and industrial control applications where compact, reliable interconnection of multiple conductors is required.
