DESCRIPTION

5749111-3 is a 40-position cable plug connector from the AMPLIMITE .050 Series, designed for high-density D-subminiature interconnect applications. This connector features a compact .050 x .100 inch (1.27 x 2.54 mm) centerline grid spacing with gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts (.000030 inch minimum gold on mating end) and includes rails and latchblocks for secure mating. The housing and covers are made from thermoplastic rated 94V-0, with a steel shell plated in tin-nickel alloy over nickel over copper. The connector utilizes insulation displacement contact (IDC) termination and is compatible with 28 AWG (0.08-0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²) wire with .029-.036 inch (0.74-0.89 mm) insulation diameter. Ideal for data and device applications requiring reliable, high-density connections with fast and economical cable termination.
