DESCRIPTION

5-786862-5 is a 50-position panel mount receptacle assembly from the TE Connectivity AMPLIMITE .050 Series D-subminiature connector family. This connector features unassembled wire lacing termination covers and is designed without rails, utilizing a compact .050 x .100 inch (1.27 x 2.54 mm) centerline grid spacing. The housing is made of thermoplastic rated 94V-0 in black, with phosphor bronze contacts featuring duplex gold plating (minimum .000030 inch / 0.00076 mm) on the mating end and bright tin in the termination area, all nickel underplated. The receptacle shell is steel plated with bright nickel over copper, and the bracket is zinc plated with nickel over copper. Recommended wire sizes are 28 AWG (0.08-0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²), solid or 7 strand, with insulation diameter of .029-.036 inch (0.74-0.89 mm). This connector is ideal for high-density data and device interconnect applications requiring reliable IDC termination.
