DESCRIPTION

5822021-4 is a vertical micro-edge connector designed for SIMM (Single In-line Memory Module) applications with 72 contact positions and 0.050-inch pitch spacing. The connector features a liquid-crystal-polymer housing in natural color with phosphor bronze contacts and a nickel-plated brass latch mechanism. Contact plating consists of 0.00508 mm (0.000200 inch) minimum matte tin over 0.0012 mm (0.000050 inch) minimum nickel. The connector accommodates recommended SIMM tab metallurgy with copper base metal and 0.00762 mm (0.000300 inch) minimum tin/lead plating over 0.00127 mm (0.000050 inch) minimum nickel. This connector is widely used in memory module assemblies and computing applications where reliable edge-card connections are essential for data transfer and power distribution.
