DESCRIPTION

5-87456-1 is an AMPMODU Mod IV surface mount receptacle assembly designed for double-row, 0.100 x 0.100 inch [2.54 x 2.54 mm] centerline interconnection with dual entry and compliant pin hold downs. The housing is constructed from glass-filled thermoplastic rated 94V-0, with phosphor bronze contacts available in three plating options: Plating A with duplex 0.000030 inch [0.00076 mm] gold on contact area and 0.000150-0.000300 inch [0.00381-0.00762 mm] matte tin on solder area; Plating B with duplex 0.000010 inch [0.000254 mm] gold; and Plating C with matte tin plating. The assembly features a maximum insertion force of 20 lb [89 N] per pair and minimum extraction force of 10 lb [44.5 N] per pair (unsoldered), with metallic hold downs providing retention during reflow and strain relief after soldering. This product is ideal for high-reliability surface mount applications requiring robust interconnection in compact form factors, with support for position counts ranging from 2 to 72 positions.
