DESCRIPTION

608868-1 is a terminating head with manual handle assembly designed for terminating Subminiature D HDE-20 plugs and receptacles (AMPLIMITE) insulation displacement connectors. This pistol grip hand tool terminates 28-16 AWG (0.08-1.2 mm²) wires without requiring wire stripping, reducing applied cost. The terminating head features dimensions of 3.18 to 3.62 inches (80.8 to 91.9 mm) length, 1.00 to 2.62 inches (25.4 to 66.6 mm) width, and 1.12 to 2.62 inches (28.4 to 66.6 mm) height, with a weight of 3 to 12 oz (85 to 340 g). The tool automatically advances connectors after each termination and can be rotated to any angle for use in confined work areas. It is well suited for prototypes or low- to medium-volume production applications.
