DESCRIPTION
The 63313-1 is a Mark II 187 Series positive lock receptacle terminal designed for secure, reliable connections in electrical assemblies. It accommodates 18-14 AWG wire with an insulation diameter range of 0.090-0.130 inches (2.29-3.30 mm) and features brass tin-plated material construction with a 0.032 inch (0.81 mm) tab fit and 0.012 inch (0.30 mm) stock thickness. The terminal has an overall length of 0.755 inches (19.17 mm) and employs a positive locking mechanism with a locking dimple that securely locks onto mating tabs containing holes, preventing accidental disconnection unless the integral depressor is deliberately deflected. This design provides reduced insertion force for ease of assembly while maintaining safety by preventing exposed live parts and disruption of critical circuitry, making it ideal for automotive, appliance, and industrial control applications where secure terminal retention is essential.
