DESCRIPTION

640715-1 is a strain relief designed for use with 6-circuit matrix style soft shell pin and socket connectors in the AMP connector series. This strain relief features an A dimension of 1.030 inches (26.16 mm) and accommodates wire bundle diameters ranging from 0.120 to 0.650 inches (3.05 to 16.51 mm). The strain relief comes with an insert supplied that can be used to provide additional adjustment for small wire bundles or discarded if not needed. Two strain reliefs of this part number are required per connector assembly. This component is commonly used in wire-to-board applications for home appliances, particularly gas appliances, providing secure cable management and strain protection.
