DESCRIPTION

647845-5 is a blue 2-pole battery connector housing from the AMP Power Series 50, designed for quick connect/disconnect power applications. The housing features a hermaphroditic (genderless) design that reduces inventory requirements and includes mechanical color-coded keys to prevent mating with different colored housings. It is rated for 600V AC/DC and constructed from UL 94V-0 rated material with polarity (+ and -) molded into the housing to promote proper wiring. The connector accepts cold-headed contacts for 6 AWG, 8 AWG, and 10-12 AWG wire sizes, with stainless steel retaining springs securing contacts in the housing. This connector is ideal for battery interconnection systems, power distribution, and industrial equipment requiring reliable high-current connections.
