DESCRIPTION

745230-7 is a precision socket contact from the AMP Type III+ crimp snap-in series, designed for signal applications. This contact features a size 16 configuration with a 0.062" (1.57 mm) pin diameter and is compatible with 22-18 AWG (0.4-0.8 mm²) wire sizes. The contact body is constructed from copper alloy with a selective gold over nickel finish (Contact Finish Code D), and incorporates a stainless steel retention spring for reliable engagement. With a maximum insulation diameter of 0.068" (1.73 mm) and a test current rating of 13 amperes, this loose piece socket contact is suitable for use in Multimate contact cavities of various connector housings. Common applications include aerospace, military, and industrial equipment where reliable signal transmission is required.
