DESCRIPTION

770673-1 is an HDM (Hand-Held Applicator) applicator tool designed for installing Universal MATE-N-LOK socket contacts. This tool is specifically configured for wire sizes in the 30-26 AWG range (0.5-1.2 mm²) with insulation diameter range of 0.032-0.057 inches (0.813-1.45 mm). The applicator works with brass pre-tinned socket contacts and phosphor bronze gold-plated socket contacts, providing reliable and consistent contact crimping. It is used in assembly operations for wire-to-board connector applications, particularly in home appliances and power circuit applications where the 5.0 mm Power Key Connector system is employed. The tool ensures proper contact insertion and secure termination of fine-gauge wires to socket contacts in Universal MATE-N-LOK plug or cap housings.
