DESCRIPTION

776464-2 is a vertical sealed receptacle housing backshell accessory for the AMPSEAL connector series, specifically designed for 23-position cavity configurations. This backshell is manufactured as one half (two halves required per receptacle housing) from heavy-duty thermoplastic material and provides enhanced wire strain relief and environmental protection. The backshell helps reduce wire strain and offers a high level of protection against vibration, moisture, dust, dirt, salt, and airborne particles common in harsh industrial and commercial transportation environments. It is compatible with 1.3 mm contact systems and operates reliably across the AMPSEAL temperature range of -40°C to +125°C for gold-plated contacts. This accessory is essential for maintaining seal integrity and durability in demanding applications such as truck, bus, construction, agriculture, marine, and two-wheeler vehicle systems.
