DESCRIPTION

787900-2 is an 80-position CHAMP Series I blindmate receptacle connector designed for press-fit PCB mounting applications. It features a 1.27 mm (0.050 in) centerline spacing, vertical mount orientation, and standard profile with retention leg and keying post for secure PCB attachment and polarization. The connector utilizes phosphor bronze contacts with gold (30) over nickel plating on the mating area and tin over nickel on the termination area, housed in a high-temperature rated Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. The termination post length is 3.43 mm (0.135 in), and the product is RoHS and ELV compliant with wave solder capability up to 265°C. Common applications include SCA2 (Single Connector Attachment) and SCSI interfaces where reliable blindmate connections are required.
