DESCRIPTION

The 8-31819-6 is a SOLISTRAND ring tongue terminal designed for terminating 16–14 AWG (1.04–2.62 mm²) solid or stranded wire. Constructed of high-conductivity copper with tin plating per ASTM B545, this terminal features a brazed seam and "W" crimp that provide high tensile strength and prevent pinched wires. The terminal has a width of 0.160 inch (4.06 mm) and length of 0.567 inch (14.40 mm), with a wire barrel minimum inside diameter of 0.089 inch (2.26 mm). It meets or exceeds MIL Spec SAE AS7928 requirements (Type I, Class I) and is UL listed and CSA approved, with an operating temperature rating of 170°C. The bell-mouth barrel entrance facilitates easy wire insertion and reduces installation time, making it ideal for industrial applications including motors, heavy equipment, switchgear, and telecommunications systems.
