DESCRIPTION

1-1586862-8 is a VAL-U-LOK Glow Wire compatible free-hanging plug connector housing with 8 positions, engineered to meet IEC 60335-1 safety requirements for household and similar appliances. The connector features a rated voltage of 600 VAC with a maximum current of 9 amps in 2-position applications, and maintains a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 VAC minimum and insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and is constructed with Glow Wire compatible housing material and brass or phosphor bronze contacts with tin plating (lead-free) or gold plating options. The connector exhibits a mating force of 1.55 lb (6.90 N) maximum per circuit, unmating force of 0.11 lb (0.49 N) minimum per circuit, and contact retention of 4.88 lb (21.71 N) minimum per contact, with a durability rating of 30 mating and unmatting cycles. This product is ideal for manufacturers of air conditioning units, dishwashers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, and washing machines sold into the European market.
