DESCRIPTION

1-2178711-2 is a 12-position female on board SMD (surface mount) connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch Value-line Connector Family, designed for top entry board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnections. It features a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) centerline pitch and utilizes insulation displacement contacts that provide highly reliable gas tight and corrosion free connections. The connector is compatible with standard ribbon cables and supports automatic pick and place assembly. Common applications include home automation, alarm equipment, mobile GPS devices, lighting systems, air and climate control units, CCTV, and electronic voting machines.
