DESCRIPTION

1-2178712-0 is a male on wire connector from TE Connectivity's .050 centerline Micro-Match Value-line connector family, engineered for reliable wire-to-board interconnections. The connector features highly reliable gas-tight and corrosion-free connections through insulation displacement contacts, with a 1.27 mm pitch design suitable for automatic pick and place assembly via tape and reel packaging. It supports a full range of application tooling from hand tools to fully automated equipment and accepts all standard ribbon cable. The connector is available in multiple position configurations (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 positions) and is ideal for industrial, consumer, and datacom applications including home automation, lighting, climate control, CCTV, and set-top boxes where cost-effective, reliable connectivity is required.
