DESCRIPTION

The 146229-1 is a 68-position PC Card (PCMCIA) receptacle connector designed for non-CardBus applications. It features surface-mount staggered leads with a PCB offset of 0.41 mm and dual-row configuration at 1.27 mm centerline spacing. The connector utilizes beryllium copper contacts with gold plating (30 µm) in the mating area and nickel underplating (50 µm), housed in liquid crystal polymer (LCP) material with UL 94V flammability rating. The solder tail contacts are tin-plated, and the assembly is reflow solder capable to both 245°C and 260°C, ensuring compatibility with lead-free soldering processes. This connector is ideal for removable memory card applications and embedded systems requiring reliable high-density interconnection with RoHS/ELV compliance.
